Astro Pi

Your code space.... Apply for your free sensor board, called the Astro Pi HAT, and turn your Raspberry Pi computer into an Astro Pi. Use it to enter the competition, turn your ideas into reality and help Tim explore space. The Astro Pi hardware that will be flown to the International Space Station will be available for use down here on Earth. So this means you can get your hands on the exact same model of hardware that Tim Peake will use as he orbits 400 km above Earth! "The judges had a lot of fun with this. Their program uses telemetry data provided by NORAD along with the Real Time Clock on the Astro Pi to computationally predict the location of the ISS (so it doesn’t need to be online). It then works out what country’s territory the ISS is above, and shows its flag on the LED matrix, along with a short phrase in the local language."
